GoTContext is a knowledge graph of the characters, families and houses of A Song of Ice and Fire, built from open community data.
An API of Ice and Fire provides the characters, houses and books: allegiances, the feudal overlord hierarchy, cadet branches, lords, heirs and founders. House membership is the backbone of the graph here.
Bloodlines (parent, child, spouse) come from the same dataset, enriched where possible from Wikidata (CC0). The source genealogy is sparse, so the recorded family trees are fullest for the major dynasties (Targaryen, Stark, Lannister) and thin for minor characters. In Westeros, membership of a house carries much of what "family" means, so the house graph fills the gaps.
This is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project. It uses only factual relational metadata (who is related to whom, who belongs to which house), not the text of the novels or the television series, which remain © George R. R. Martin and HBO respectively.
